Wine Societies was founded in June 2006 to provide an online Marketplace and wine culture community for wine connoisseurs and enthusiasts.

Our online Marketplace is the first of its kind to provide a venue for individuals to auction or sell their vintage wines to licensed retailers, wholesalers and wineries. This enables licensed retailers, wholesalers and wineries to gain access to the private collections of many discerning wine connoisseurs. In addition, licensed wineries can auction or sell wine to licensed wholesalers and licensed wholesalers can auction or sell wine to licensed retailers.

All members have access to a global community of wine connoisseurs and enthusiasts, to meet, interact, make friends, form groups and record and share information about wine and wine culture. Members are encouraged to express their opinions by rating and reviewing all posts, products and services, participating in Forum discussions and maintaining their personal Blogs. They can contribute to the community by posting Useful Information, Events or News articles and can advertise their businesses in the Classifieds section.

There are no subscription fees, membership terms or contracts of any sort. Becoming a member is FREE, with no obligation.
