Enter information such as your name, address, etc. under the my Information tab.

You have total control over your information on this site. Use the settings under the my Privacy Settings tab to control which sections of my Wine Space you would like your friends on this site to be able to view. Select one of your pictures to display along with your information.

This section also lets you change your password whenever you want, under the my Password tab. Always protect your password and keep it in a safe place, if you write it down.

my Points

Your participation on this site is rewarded! Whenever you invite your friends to join Wine Societies and they end up becoming members, you are rewarded! You get 10 points for every new member you recruit. This section keeps track of the points you have earned. When you buy products on this site, you can use these points towards discounts on the transaction commission.

my Profile

Here’s where you can tell the other members on the site about yourself. Write a description of who you are, your interests in life, wine and wineculture, your likes and dislikes and what you are looking for. Put up some pictures and video clips of yourself.

my Pictures

This section is a great place to keep your picture albums on-line. All those memories from the wonderful wine country trips, pictures of your cellar, that special occasion, the great wine-tasting parties … they all go here! Pictures are organized as Albums and are conveniently displayed as a table. You can share each Category with your friends. Click on Album in the table and send them a message. They will receive a message with a link to the album(s) you want them to see.

my Videos

Want a place on-line for all your video clips? Here you go! Very similar to my Pictures, this section allows you to upload and organize your videos on-line. You can share any video Album with your friends.

Same procedure as in my Pictures.

This section allows you to express your tastes in different aspects of wine, wine culture and life. If you do allow others to view this section, perhaps you will meet someone with some

Yet another section to tell your friends or a potential new friend about your interests, in a rather quick way. No need to write elaborate prose here … just click on whatever

This is where you can search for other members on the site. You are provided with various search criteria to focus your search. Save each set of search criteria to use again in the future. This tool is a great way to find other members on the site and go get a glass of wine (or two)! You can add friends you meet here to your my Friends section, by clicking on Add to my Friends.

my Messages

Your own internal mail system on the site. Here, you can send and receive messages from others on the site. You can send messages at once to an entire Group, the site Administrator, or individual Members.

This section has a list of all the members on the site you have as friends. A friend is someone who has accepted your invitation to be your friend.

my Travels

Your on-line travel journal! Keep records of places visited, pictures and videos taken, wines consumed/bought and wineries visited, all in one place. Share your journal with your friends on the site.

my Wines

Your on-line wine journal! Record everything you ever wanted to about every bottle of wine you ever consume … name of the wine, winery where it was made, the winemaker, the region, the vintage, the purchase price, where you bought it, your ratings for aroma, body, taste and finish, what foods you paired it with, when you consumed it and of course, your tasting notes. All your wines are conveniently tabulated for you, making them easy to reference. Share your journal with your friends.

my Wine Preferences

Ever wonder what your friend’s tastes in wine were? Or ever wished you could share your preferences for wine with your friends, so that they would finally get you a bottle for your next birthday that you could really enjoy? Here’s where you can record it and share it with all your friends. Write descriptions of your preferences for aroma, body, taste and after- taste, for every type of wine you like, and keep them updated as your tastes change. You can track how much of a certain type of wine you consume on a weekly basis. It’s also a useful section for you to refer to, when you buy your next case. Your preferences are conveniently tabulated for you, making them easy to reference.

my Cellar

Want to keep track of your wine collection on-line? Use this tool! It allows you to enter all the information about your wines … the name, winery, winemaker, vintage, where it’s stored, how much youpurchased it for and where and what foods to pair it with. There is a cool feature which allows you to enter a date when you want to consume a particular wine and if you set the Alert button, you will be sent a message from our mail system. You can choose how many days before you would like to be alerted.

my Wineries

Here’s where you can keep track of all the wineries you have visited and want to visit. You can record the name, location, contact information and directions. You can also write a description of the winery and add your own rating. As always, you can share your table of wineries with your friends.

my Wine Clubs

Belong to several wine clubs? Can’t keep track of all the shipments? Try out this tool. It lets you keep track of all the wine clubs you belong to, their web-sites and when the next scheduled delivery from each one is. You can set an Alert to be reminded of your next delivery and choose how many days in advance you’d like to be notified.

my Wish List

When you are shopping in our Marketplace and see something that you might like to buy later, you can add it to your Wish List. This section contains all the items you might want to buy, or be given. Hence, it is the perfect section to “allow your Friends to view”, in case a birthday or holiday is around the corner!

my Meritages

Always wanted to be a winemaker? Here’s your chance! Use this section to craft your perfect blends and record the composition of each one. If you have your own winery or wine-making set up, you can try your meritages there. Or, you can have them made for you by wineries that offer such a service.

Classifieds

Here’s where you can advertise your company’s product and/or service, either as a Classifieds posting, or as a Banner posting.

Classifieds postings are viewable and searchable in the Classifieds section only. You can search by keywords in a category, by offered / wanted / both, location, price or time period. Once you find what you are looking for, you can read how other members have reviewed and rated the product or service. You can add your own review and rating too. This section also gives you a tool to keep track of all the Classifieds you have posted.

Banner postings are viewable on the advertisement banners on all sections of the site. While uploading your advertisement, you can choose which section(s) of the site you would like your advertisement to be displayed in.

Marketplace

Please read the Terms of Use of Wine Societies thoroughly. There are specific laws governing the Auction and Sale of wine, which must be adhered to before using Wine Societies for these purposes. The rules that the Member must adhere to are specified in the Terms of Use.

Auction

Not sure how much to sell your wine for? Auction it! Our Auction system is very easy to use and will maximize your returns. Describe your wine, add pictures and video clips , set a minimum price and a closing time and you are ready to go. Buyers , here's where you can bid for wine and monitor the auction . This section also provides the Seller with a history of his/her auctioned wine.

Once the Buyer wins the Auction, he/she will be emailed the Seller's name and contact information. The Seller will be emailed the Buyer's name and contact information. The Buyer and Seller will arrange for the transfer of the payment and the product(s) . The Buyer will be charged a 10% commission of the final sale price and a small transaction fee . Buyers - don't forget to use your points to get a discount on the commission charges.

Buy

The Buy section is where you can purchase wine. Search by name and/or price range. Your purchase history is also conveniently stored here for you to look through whenever you want to.

Once the Buyer has completed a purchase , he/she is emailed the Seller's name and contact information. The Seller will be emailed the Buyer's name and contact information. The Buyer and Seller will arrange for the transfer of the payment and the product(s) . The Buyer will be charged a 10% commission of the sale price. Buyers - don't forget to use your points to get a discount on the commission charges.

Sell

Here's where you can make money ! Advertise your wine for sale. You can upload pictures and even video clips of your wine. Once a Buyer purchases your wine, you will be emailed his/her name and contact information. Your name and contact information will be emailed to the Buyer. The Seller and Buyer can now arrange to transfer the payment and product(s). Sellers are not charged any commission or transaction fees. This section also stores your product sale history, which you can refer to whenever you want to.

Blogs

Become a regular Wine Societies blogger and have your blogs read, commented on and rated by other members. Here’s where your blog archives are stored for retrieval when you so choose. Search through the blogs, add your comments and rate the posting.Read how others rated the posting and what they had to say.

Forums

Post your thoughts on any topic. Ask questions about the best wine to pair with a certain food. Reply with your opinions on messages posted by other members. Search through various topics and posts. This is the place for lively and stimulating discussions on anything related to wine and wine culture. Your Forum postings are stored here, for retrieval at your pleasure.

Events

Want to advertise your next wine-tasting event? Want to know all that’s happening in your part of the wine world? Our Events section allows members to advertise their events for FREE and search for fun things to do, by location, date and category. Describe your event, post pictures and video clips and tell other members where to come. Send personal invitations to your friends on this site. Your event posting history (with mailing list, if any) is stored in one easy to find place. Another cool feature is our Calendar, which helps you organize your busy schedule. Once you find an event you are interested in, just click on Add to my Calendar and in it goes.

News

Read what’s happening in the wine world. Post your own news articles. Your posting history is stored here.

Groups

Form your own local groups or virtual global groups, with other members who have similar interests and tastes. Search for existing groups and join a few. Keep track of all your Group memberships here.
